"People keep Buggering up the trunnion when they start to press in the
barrel. Once the barrel is "IN" it is easier to press in or out for the
Bolt Gap. The one of the Easiest ways is to put the barrel in the
freezer for 5min and the trunnion in a toaster oven on 400° for 5min.
PRESTO-- it slips right on."
please note the concept will save you from having to buy a 2 ton press and important to note the above trunnion is for a cetme trunnion and barrel. this concept will still work with the ak 47 barrel and trunnion.
Remember you put in the barrel as much as possible then gas check with go and no go gauge. With the barrel all the way in obviously it won't pass with the go gauge so you tap the barrel out little by little and check with the go gauge when the barrel is in the right specification for the gas check.
Once the bolt closes with the go gauge don't move the trunnion and barrel anymore. Put the trunnion sideways with the barrel in and use the drill press to remove the metal needed to install the barrel pin.
AK47 barrel pin removal (BF hammer method)
A low cost easy way to remove your barrel pin without damage.
AK47 barrel removal (BF hammer method)
This is an easy way to remove your AK barrel from the trounnion for demilling.
The punch I use could be a bolt with a brass nut, it will work just the same.
Note; the tip to keep from loosing the barrel pin is to tape it to your rear sight.
